Zena Algae Peel

The treatment involves a gentle massage of the algae spicules into the skin. You will feel a 7/10 discomfort from the scratching sensation for 5-10 min. There may be slight redness immediately after and a prickly sensation that will last 48 hours before the peeling process begins.

Recovery time is typically 7-10 days in total. Most clients experience mild redness and a prickly sensation for 48 hours after the treatment. The peel process begins on days 2-3 after your treatment and lasts 5-7 days.

While some improvements can be seen after a single session, optimal results typically require a series of treatments. We usually recommend 3 to 4 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on your skin's condition and goals.

Side effects may include temporary redness, sensitivity, slight swelling, and peeling of the skin for 7-10 days. It's important to follow post-treatment care instructions which will be given to you at the end of your treatment to minimize any adverse effects.

Post-treatment care involves gently cleansing the skin and applying moisturizer and broad-spectrum SPF during the first 48 hours after treatment. After 48 hours, only use SPF and keep the skin as dry as possible to accelerate the peeling process. Avoid direct sun exposure throughout this period. Once 4-5 days have passed, you may resume using moisturizing products. Avoid any active ingredients until peeling is complete and the skin has fully healed.
